National Association of Hospice Fundraisers Conference 2019 - Cheshire

Our 2019 Conference is based at Carden Park Hotel and Spa in Cheshire. Home to Lewis Carroll and his magical Alice in Wonderland. We invite you to join several hundred fellow hospice fundraisers on a journey to explore the mad crazy world of fundraising. We will be showcasing inspirational fundraising ideas, sharing great practice and gleaning hints and tips from our industry gurus.

Our aim with conference 2019 is for you to return to your hospice with at least one fantastic idea, solution or understanding of our manic but rewarding work. We want you to return to your hospice with that one little bit of magic!

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Carden Park Hotel is nestled in the Cheshire countryside with plenty of parking available.

Should you wish to travel by train to Crewe Station (35 minutes from hotel) we will facilitate complimentary transport at 9.15am on Monday morning. Please plan you trains accordingly. Should there be sufficient demand we will put on transport on Sunday early afternoon. Return transport will be timed to arrive back at Crewe Station for 5.30pm.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we'll have your details already!

Can I stay at Carden Park Hotel the night before conference?

Accommodation at the hotel is available on Sunday 24 March for delegates wishing to stay the night before – B&B rates £99. Please call 01829 707001 and quote NAHF Conference to secure discount.

How do I pay?

You may pay by card online or request an invoice to be paid with 30 days of receipt. All bookings must be paid in full to guarantee registration. Once payment has been received, an email confirmation and a receipted invoice will be sent. If payment is not made at the time of booking, registration will be provisional. Bookings received less than two weeks before the conference date can only be paid online.

Tell me more about the Early Bird Rate

In order to qualify for any 'early bird' rates, booking must be received before midnight on Friday 11 January 2019.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Delegates may nominate an alternative person from their organisation to attend up to 10 working days prior to the start of the event, at no extra charge.

What is the refund policy?

Should substitution not be possible, refunds will apply as follows:

• 8 to 12 weeks prior to start of event: 50% of the delegate fee
• 2 to 8 weeks prior to start of event: 25% of the delegate fee
• 2 weeks or less prior to start of event: no refund

All substitutions and cancellations must be received in writing to the conference organiser. Any delegates who do not arrive, or who depart early will not be eligible for any refund.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No, please let the conference organiser know of any changes. See above 'Is my registration/ticket transferrable?'

What time will conference finish on Tuesday 26 March?

The conference will finish at approximately 4pm. To make the most of your conference experience please make your travel arrangement to allow you to stay to the very end.

What happens if NAHF amends or cancels the conference?

NAHF reserves the right to make alterations to the conference programme, venue and timings. In the unlikely event of the programme being cancelled by NAHF, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate.

In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that the conference is being postponed or the dates being changed, the organisers shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the delegate.

Is it guaranteed that I will stay at main conference hotel?

Priority for accommodation at the main conference venue will be given on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability. Should the main venue not have sufficient rooms to accommodate all delegates an alternative hotel will be sought. In the unlikely event of no alternative being available delegates will be advised and a solution agreed.

Views expressed by speakers and workshop facilitators are their own. NAHF cannot accept liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker or workshop facilitator at the conference or in any material provided to delegates. Exhibitor attendance does not constitute an endorsement of such company or supplier by NAHF. Nor does NAHF accept any responsibility for any business undertaken with any exhibitor.

Photography and filming

For promotional purposes, there may be a professional photographer and video production taking place during the conference. Delegates who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the photographer or video technicians directly.
